At The White Kitchen Company we're all about helping you build the kitchen you've always dreamed of at trade prices. Our shaker kitchens combine traditional kitchen design with modern practicality.
If you are looking for a fresh, pale kitchen, but don’t want a design that’s too sleek and contemporary, a white Shaker-style kitchen could be for you. Shaker kitchen cabinets are instantly recognisable by their simple in-frame five-piece doors. Traditionally these are within a freestanding unit (typically the traditional Shaker way), but many of our clients choose to fit the units in a run (or a combination of both!). At the White Kitchen Company we supply our oak units in white as standard. You can choose to keep them white, or choose a beautiful colour from any paint company.
To create the Shaker look why not combine with tongue-and-groove panelling or open shelving (a Shaker kitchen staple), but it’s not for everyone – especially if you hate dusting. A sleeker option, and one that keeps items protected, is glass-fronted cupboards. Unlike with solid-door wall cabinets, you get a similar feel from glazing as you would from open shelves.
At The White Kitchen Company, we aim to deliver functionality, innovative joinery and craftsmanship within every solid wood kitchen we make. Our Shaker Kitchen furniture is handmade using both modern and traditional techniques with quality wood. A core component of Shaker quality the ‘Mortise and Tenon joint’ is used in the construction to give the highest quality and strength to our cabinets and kitchen units. There are many beautiful ways this classic and versatile shaker style can work in white, for some inspirational ideas take a look at our gallery below:
