Plain English Kitchens
Our bespoke Plain English Kitchens are made by hand the traditional way, using the best possible materials. Bringing together timeless design and the finest craftsmanship.
The Plain English Kitchen collection, or Period English as we like to call it. Is defined by a classic thumb mould around the panelled doors and drawer fronts and a bead running the length of the top and bottom edges of the top drawers. This design has been taken from old English antique utility furniture.
Bespoke-made kitchens are no longer expensive and our kitchens start from as little as £6,000. There are no hidden costs, take a look at our kitchen prices in our shop. Our prices include VAT and delivery to mainland UK. For overseas delivery, email us for a quote.
Our doors are hung in-frame, which means the doors sit inside the frame rather than hanging on the outside of the cabinets like modern units. All our draws are solid oak and made using traditional dovetailed joints. To find out more about how we build our units take a look at our about us page.
Simple Plain English Design
Create the Plain English style you want, choose any historical colour and finish. You are not limited in any way. Our paints have been specifically developed for kitchen units with an extra tough finish. The choice of handles is your own, all you need to do is tell us what colour hinges you need.
At The White Kitchen Company, we also create bespoke furniture too. Not only can we extend the kitchen area into the larder, laundry, scullery or pantry. But we can also make bespoke cellars, bars, dressing rooms, libraries etc. Why not take a look at our bespoke furniture page.
We offer a design consultation service. Which is an opportunity to explore how you can turn your ideas into reality. We can discuss your requirements, measure up and give you ideas in the comfort of your own home.
