Georgian Twist
Project
The neutral colour palette that this kitchen in Cambridge adopts is simply exquisite. The cabinetry was colour-matched to the customer’s own choice of a soft grey which mirrors the beautiful simplicity of our Shaker cabinets’ design. The brass hinges match with the ‘Cotswold Georgian Cabinet Pulls’ that are used on the drawer units, as well as the ‘Cotswold Bun Knobs’ that are placed on the cupboards’ doors. These features create a timeless and stylish aesthetic throughout the entire space.
Open shelving options have become a popular choice amongst many customers looking for a new kitchen design. This kitchen showcases a great example of how our open wall shelving can be used to display crockery and a small selection of coffee syrups ready to add flavour to their warm drinks in the winter months. To add further visual interest to this space, LED strip lighting was placed under the shelves to help zone the area below for food preparation. The shelves also frame the Rangemaster Farmhouse Sink with its striking Country Alsace tap from ‘Perrin & Rowe’ which grants the kitchen a stand-out centrepiece.
NEFF double ovens sit within our double oven housing to give storage space above and below them. Similarly, a three-door Fisher & Paykel Fridge Freezer sits within our fridge housing, again to give additional cabinet space both next to the fridge and above it for easy reach when cooking. The kitchen island sits opposite and creates the ideal space used for cooking, serving and seating. It is made up of our triple-drawer cabinets and a double-door cupboard for ample storage space to store the family cooking utensils. With cutlery inserts, they can also ensure that their cutlery is always organised and tidy ready for their next use. On the island also sits another NEFF single oven while on top is an induction hob; this placement provides a space to cook whilst being able to chat to those sitting on the other side of the island.
