Blaby Shaker Kitchen

Project

This three-tier project located in Leicestershire is a fine example of in-frame cabinetry that can be used throughout the home. Built in the 1930s, this home has an abundance of space that has been utilised perfectly.

Starting with the kitchen, Shaker-style wall units have been used throughout. The wall cabinets, hand-painted in our factory as with all our cabinetry, are coloured in Farrow and Ball’s Purbeck Stone. A colour that suits both homes new and old, it is one of F&B’s strongest relaxed neutral colours. The cabinets include tall units, triple and double drawers, and a corner cupboard with adjustable shelving. On to the island which houses ample seating, a farmhouse sink with Quooker hot tap, and an array of cupboard and drawer space. Wishing to create an open and sociable space, the island perfectly demarcates the kitchen from the dining room but also unites the two spaces. This is painted in Farrow & Ball’s Railings colour, as is our last kitchen piece… the feature bar/pantry. Finishing the room off nicely, this unit offers drawer space and bi-folding doors which are perfect for entertaining.

Moving on to the boot room, this really is an example of how to have convenience and style. Offering space for coats, boots, and utilities, it is again painted in Farrow & Ball’s Purbeck Stone. It houses a mixture of appliance cupboards, drawer space and built-in seating. All are perfect for both coats and boots, to appliances and storage.

Lastly, we moved upstairs into the property. This handmade solid wood Dressing Room is every stylist’s dream. It has spacious tall cupboards, a dressing island, and a beautiful dressing table.
