Home at the Vicarage
Project
A Grade II listed Vicarage that dates to the 1700s, designed in a true country style. Our designer, Mo, worked closely with the client to achieve this stunning kitchen, their second from The White Kitchen Company.
The old kitchen was ripped out to allow for a completely blank canvas, an open but square room. Jo wanted similar features to her last kitchen, ‘Home at the Farmhouse’. But a few changes had to be made initially. This consisted of moving the beloved AGA from the near right side of the kitchen back to the original alcove it would have been in years ago. They also required a larger island for preparing food and better storage solutions.
Designed with our Shaker cabinets, this kitchen and utility are hand painted in the beautiful Sage Green by Little Greene. The amount of natural lighting shining throughout this room encourages the units to really stand out against the off-white walls. So many beautiful features are in this design. The use of aged brass Georgian pulls on drawers and matching knobs enhances the country feel of this kitchen. There are many light fixtures around the room, and the décor is quaint and charming. A bespoke pantry sits in the corner of the kitchen, covering electricals that would rather be hidden. All appliances are integrated within this design and include an American Fridge Freezer and Oven from Fisher & Paykel.
The utility leads through from the kitchen, opening to tall units. Perfect for storing coats and boots from a lovely spring walk. The adjacent run of units includes two pull-outs for a bin and extra storage, as well as an integrated oven. It’s a lovely space with finishing touches like the Shaws of Darwen apron-fronted double bowl with matching brass wastes. Giving a practical but pretty finish.
