Monique approached us with a vision for her listed home. She wanted a kitchen that complemented the old and new parts of the house.

We designed the island with double-sided storage beneath the seating area. This clever use of space provided all the storage she needed while keeping the kitchen feeling open and uncluttered. Painted in the fabulously lush Yeabridge Green by Farrow & Ball, the island instantly became the room’s focal point.

The remaining Shaker-style cabinetry was painted in Farrow & Ball’s James White, an off-white with a slight green hue which beautifully complements the island. Monique worked with one of our in-house designers, Martyna, to select this contrasting palette, creating a design that felt personal and perfectly suited to her home.

The double oven sits centrally within a bank of full-height cupboards. These cupboards also house integrated appliances, ensuring a seamless finish.

Monique chose a Ca’ Pietra aged stone porcelain floor, which adds warmth and texture to the kitchen. She commented, “The aged stone tiles add so much character.” The cabinetry is finished with unlacquered brass knobs, chosen for their refined feel and timeless appeal.

A roof lantern above the island fills the space with natural light, making the green dominate the room.

We installed a simple granite slab backsplash for the hob area—a sleek and easy-to-clean solution that complements the overall design.

Appliances

We ensured Monique’s kitchen was equipped with premium appliances.

• Hob: Fisher & Paykel Induction Hob (CI905DTB4) with integrated Elica extractor, providing precision cooking and efficient ventilation.
• Oven: Neff N70 grey oven (B54CR31G0B), complemented by a Neff warming drawer (N34HA11G1B), perfect for keeping meals warm when entertaining.
• Dishwasher: Fisher & Paykel Tall DishDrawer (DD60SHTI9), a sophisticated double-drawer design ideal for Monique’s daily coffee and tea gatherings.
• Fridge Freezer: Neff (KI7863DF0G), seamlessly integrated into the cabinetry for a clean, minimalist look.
• Wine Cooler: Caple 30cm model, perfect for storing her favourite wines.
• Kitchen Sink: A classic Double Belfast sink from Shaws, providing both functionality and timeless appeal.
• Utility Sink: Clearwater undermount sink (AVOU500) in the utility room for added convenience.

Monique had a clear vision for her kitchen, and we collaborated closely to refine every detail. From finalising the colour palette to planning the layout and selecting the appliances, our in-house designer, Martyna, guided the process to ensure a cohesive and elegant result.

Monique shared, “Martyna found the complementary colour James White. We worked together on the design to get a great layout and managed to get everything I needed to fit perfectly.

The kitchen works perfectly with the flow of the house; the utility in the old part of the house sits nicely off the modern kitchen extension. I love the quality of the cabinets and the island, which contains a lot of storage as I didn’t want wall cupboards.

Green is my favourite colour. Yeabridge Green is unusual and naturally brings the outside in through the bifold doors. Martyna found the complementary colour James White. We worked together on the design to get a great layout and managed to get everything I needed to fit perfectly.

I love my Fisher & Paykel induction oven and the single-drawer dishwasher. The simple granite slab backsplash behind the hob is sleek and easy to clean.

George and his team of fitters were great—nothing was any trouble for them. Now, my kitchen has become the place where all my friends want to be. They love coming over for coffee and sitting in my beautiful kitchen. I’m thrilled with it!”
