Barn Conversion - Christchurch

Project Gallery

Returning for a second time, Christopher loved his Hague Blue painted Period English style kitchen in his Georgian home. His latest project involved converting an old barn in Christchurch into a luxury home.

The new kitchen area was positioned at the end of the barn with very little natural light, however deciding to paint the furniture in Little Greene French Grey and adding lots of down lighters allowed light to bounce around the room. The island houses 2 sinks, a dishwasher and a large double bin, with 30 ml Lyra Silestone stacked around the edges to give a chunky feel and personalised style to the worktop. Most importantly the island worked beautifully separating the dining area from the working kitchen, which includes an American fridge freezer with cupboard surround, oven housing, tall cupboards, wall and floor cupboards and plenty of worktop space.
