Our client in Surrey was looking to create something a little more contemporary than our traditional kitchens, but still wanted to incorporate some elements the within the design. So, we opted for the classic Shaker range, but with flat-fronted drawers to provide that contemporary look.

The Art-Deco inspired wallpaper was to take centre stage along with an eye-catching bespoke canopy and antique mirror splashback. By introducing a fun design as a feature wall and tying in the yellow tones from the barstools, creates a well-balanced space. The main units are hand-painted in the elegant colour ‘De Nimes’ by Farrow & Ball (new this season) and the central kitchen island in ‘Inchyra Blue’. Using similar colours but slightly different undertones allows the space to be separated into two different workspaces. Chrome handles and hinges are the final touches that compliment this spacious, bright kitchen.

Who would’ve thought a mix of modern and traditional cabinets could look so good!
